After a six month hiatus, InvictaFC will return to pay-per-view as three title fights are set for their 7th outing.
Here is a viewing guide for those wanting a full experience…
A preview of the main event between flyweight champion Barb Honchak and challenger Leslie Smith is worth a watch. All Elbows went to both camps in Iowa and California respectively to show the lives of main eventers and how they are training for this epic battle. You can watch it here.
Friday morning two more videos were posted, including the fighters starting the fight week push, and their open workouts for the camera.
Make sure to follow InvictaFC fighter Kaitlin Young on twitter as she will be following fighters behind the scenes. Thursday she was there during the pre-fight photo shoots.
The live weigh-ins will stream live Friday at 4 p.m. pst/7 p.m. est. You can watch either on InvictaFC.com or their facebook page.
InvictaFC 7 will broadcast on Saturday starting with the free prelims at 5:00 p.m. pst/8:00 p.m. est which will stream on InvictaFC.com and Invicta’s facebook page. Two fights will be free to fans - Sarah D’Alelio versus Tonya Evinger and Munah Holland taking on Nina Ansaroff.
Invicta’s broadcast team has changed up for this event as Michael Schiavello, Mo Lawal, and UFC title contender Miesha Tate will be the three voices breaking down the fights.
The rest of the card will broadcast on pay-per-view with three title fights:
- Main event – Barb Honchak (c) vs. Leslie Smith – flyweight title
- Co-main event - Carla Esparza (c) vs. Claudia Gadelha – strawweight title
- Featured Bout - Miriam Nakamoto vs. Lauren Murphy – initial bantamweight title

- Felice Herrig vs. Tecia Torres
- Joanne Calderwood vs. Katja Kankaanpaa
- Julia Budd vs. Charmaine Tweet
- Zoila Gurgel vs. Vanessa Porto
The televised pay-per-view will be available on all major cable outlets in the U.S. and on Dish Network for $25 in HD. DirecTV is expected to have it and we are hoping for an announcement sometime Friday.
If for some reason you can’t get the televised ppv, Invicta is offering a stream for $15 on InvictaFC.com.
After the fights, Invicta will for the first time have their post fight press conference streaming live on their facebook and InvictaFC.com. They will be taking questions from their social media account (facebook and twitter) from fans.

Friday night sees InvictaFC commentator and veteran fighter Julie Kedzie looking to snap a three fight losing streak against the undefeated Bethe Correia at UFC in Brisbane, Australia on Fox Sports 1. Both tipped the scales at 135 pounds Thursday. (You can watch the weigh-in here).
Kedzie (16-12) has the most fights of any UFC female bantamweight signee and has a storied 9 1/2 year career. She recently lost to Germaine de Randamie via split decision in July.
Brazil’s Correia (6-0) is making her UFC debut and this will be her first fight outside of her native Brazil. In her most recent bout, she defeated Erica Paes by unanimous decision.
The fight will air Fox Sports 1 at 6 p.m. pst/9 p.m. est.

Holly Holm looks for her 6th straight win as she takes on seven year vet Angela Hayes in Albuquerque Friday night. Holm (135.6) and Hayes (131) both made weight Thursday night.
Holm (5-0) has yet to go the distance, having KOed all her opponents. She recently KOed Nikki Knudson with a body kick and knees this past October for Legacy.
Hayes (6-6) is returning after a two year absence from the sport. She has wins over Stephanie Skinner and Tsui-Jen Cunanan. She won her last fight in 2011, getting a first round submission over Trisha Clark.
The fight will stream live and free on HollyHolm.com. Card starts 7 p.m. pst/10 p.m. est.

Two fights will happen Saturday in Newcastle, England as Cage Warriors will have two fights in their bantamweight division.
“Ultimate Fighter” hopeful Laura Howarth looks for her first pro win as she takes on Emma Delaney, while Kerry Hughes will face Polish sensation Agnieszka Niedzwiedz.
On the weigh-ins Friday morning, both Howarth (139.4) and Hughes (137.1) came in overweight on the first try. Both Niedzwiedz (135.1lbs) and Delaney (135.2lbs) came in on weight.
Howarth (4-0 semi-pro) has a KO and submission to her credit before she headed to the US to try out for the “Ultimate Fighter”. She lost to Jessamyn Duke to get on the show, and soon signed to Cage Warriors. Delaney is coming off a loss to Hughes in a semi-pro bout.
Hughes (1-0) has yet to taste defeat as a ammy or pro, winning her pro debut in August over L.J. Adams. Niedzwiedz (4-0) had three straight TKO wins to start her career, and got her first submission over Iren Racz in August by armbar.
Both fights will stream on Cage Warrior’s facebook page, which will start starts at 1 p.m. pst/4 p.m. est Saturday.

Two female KOs have made the nominees for the Inside MMA’s “Bazzie Awards”.
Jinh Yu Frey’s KO of Darla Harris at Sugar Creek Showdown and Alida Gray’s KO over Soannia Tiem at 24/7 Entertainment 12 are up for the award.

Tara LaRosa will be inducted into the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame Friday and Go Fight Live will be streaming it for free. LaRosa is one of the pioneers of the sport and was one of the best pound for pound fighters in the planet.

For those in Las Vegas on Saturday, Ultimate Fighter cast member Roxanne Modafferi will be doing a meet and greet at Tops N Bottoms Frozen Yogurt this Saturday the 7th from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. She will be signing autographs and answering questions. No creep people.

Rumors
There was a lot of talk on why Ronda Rousey was covering her hands last week during her TV appearances. TMZ is reporting the champ actually got some callouses ripped off her knuckles while shooting “Expendables 3″. Fighters want calloused knuckles during fighters so they have more cushion during punching.
She had uncovered her hands during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Monday and they are starting to heal up.

Lion Fight Promotions was looking into a Muay Thai super fight between Miriam Nakamoto and Cyborg Justino. Nakamoto told Ariel Helwanii on the MMA Hour she wasn’t interested. Nakamoto stated her management has “big plans for her” and that the UFC wasn’t in the cards for now.

InvictaFC vet Marciea Allen is looking for her third win as a pro as she takes on pro debuter Brenda Rodriguez at Dynasty Combat Sports in Lincoln, NE.
Allen (2-1) won her last fight this past March over fellow InvictaFC vet Ashleigh Curry by first round TKO. Rodriguez (1-2 ammy) is coming off a decision win this past May in her last amateur bout.
The match will stream for free on “The Path’s Show” facebook page Friday night.

Yesica Yolanda Bopp will defend her WBA/WBO light flyweight title against Ana Fernandez in Entre Rios, Argentina this weekend.
Bopp (25-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Anastasia Toktaulova this past July. This will be Bopp’s 13th defense of her WBA title.
Ferandez (14-6) is coming off a TKO loss to Arely Mucino a year ago and will be dropping from flyweight to light flyweight. Before her loss to Mucino, she was on a three fight win streak with two KOs.
Also on the car, Adela Celeste del Carmen Peralta takes on Cristina Cuevas and Maria Eugenia Lopez battles Maria Angelica Ruiz.

Two title bouts are set for Brandenburg, Germany.
WBF/WBO middleweight champ Christina Hammer will defend her totle against Carmen Garcia. The undefeated Hammer (15-0) looks to defend both titles for the 7th time. Gracia (10-2) is on a six fight win streak and is looking for her first world title.
In the other title match, WIBF/WBF/WBO super featherweight champion Ramona Kuehne will take on Renata Domsodi. Kuehne (20-1) is riding a five fight win streak. Domsodi (11-3) won her past two and seeks her first titles.
