In the only pro MMA fight this weekend, Tessa Simpson got her third win of her career taking a unanimous decision over Paulina Granados.
Simpson returned to the cage after a four year absence and didn’t lose a step. She was on point with her striking, and was able to attempt submission from her back. Later on, it was knees and the ground game in top position that impressed the judges in Simpson’s favor, and she would take all three rounds on the scorecards. She improves to 3-1 and hands Granados her first loss.

Tori Nelson continues her undefeated streak and gains the vacant WIBA welterweight title with her unanimous decision win over Aleksandra Magdziak Lopes in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
Nelson (7-0-3) and Lopes (10-2) battle in what was a closer match then the judges’ score sounded like. Nelson breaks Lopes’s 10 fight win streak, and is now in position to take on the likes of WBC/WBA/WBO welterweight title holder Cecilia Braekhus and IBF welterweight title holder Eva Halasi.

Daniela Romina Bermudez wins her second interim WBA super flyweight title by defeating Judith Rodriguez by unanimous decision in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Bermudez (15-2) extends her win streak to 10.
