Miscellaneous News

Ashlee Evans-Smith has automatically advanced in the CFA featherweight tournament as her opponent Anna Barone forfeited by being overweight. Barone didn’t officially hit the scales and we may not know how far she was over the 145 pound weight limit.

Smith will now face the winner of Fallon Fox versus Allanna Jones in the tournament finals. The two square off Friday night at the CFA card in Miami, FL with will be live on AXS-TV. Transgender fighter Fox is coming off a TKO win in her quarterfinal bout against Erica Newsome, while Jones is coming off a decision win over Kelsey De Santis. Both made weight with Fox at 144 pounds, while Jones came in a 145 even.

Smith told us on the Wombat Sports podcast that she would face Fox in the finals if she won. She also predicted that Jones would upset Fox.
